Patient,
Where do you get the figure of 15% from? It seems much too high (assuming 2M @ 11.5c and not lower ... which current SP action will hopefully ensure).
Yes, it is good that the likes of Red etc. remind us that it is a paid-for report, and that these types of reports are designed to spruik the stock, but no one seems to have mentioned that the report also contains some information not previous mentioned, such as unit pricing etc., so even if sceptical it is good to have the report ... definate value-add. Also, from today's SP action, it appears to have opened some eyes up to the potential bonanza on offer in regards to the PLT story (if all goes to plan), so there's huge value-add there! Especially in regards to the price paid for the $2M of new stock / dillution factor.
Whilst I've only got part-way through the report, I've been impressed by its quality in terms of language, legibility, lack of typos etc. etc (much better than many from Australia, never mind India). There are some obvious mistakes (for those that know PLT well enough), such as the bit about shares doesn't include the outstanding convertible notes options etc., and as usual they don't include the known upcoming share purchase from China. As I remember it the Intersuisse report did the same thing years ago when it ignored the impact of convertible notes on future SP guidance.
It was interesting that they seem to get away with not having to disclose much just by stating that it is intended for the U.S. ... obviously their disclosure laws must be more lax (as a guess ... I wouldn't have a clue).
As bullish as it may be, the price predictions are not off the mark ... assuming the company performs as it says it will. That's the big 'if', more so than whether the report is biased or not. It doesn't take Einstein to work out that if the profit ends up greater than the current market cap, you need to start applying multiples against where it is now.
I may add more once completing an in-depth read of the report, and I'd love to hear others pick out specific bits for discussion ... there is certainly a lot there (yes, a lot of recycling, but there are some new bits as well).
Cheers.
