Goodbye Australia Day, page-22

As a member of a municipal brass band mostly funded by the local council I refused to take part in performing when the council changed their Australia Day ceremonies, including citizenship ceremonies, to the actual date. Our program was all Cold Chisel tunes and the poor picket line offenders, (I.e. the rest of the band), were without a drummer. I’ve since been attending Invasion Day rallies instead.
