MrGann - I was also a happy HSBC customer, and was highly pi$$ed off at being punted over to etrade.
My response was to take advantage of the free offers (Wise-Owl newsletter subscription), then just leave the etrade account open with nothing in it. I have no intention of ever trading with them, but you never know when the information on their site might come in handy.
I wonder how many HSBC/St George customers will end up staying with etrade? 'Goodwill' is such a transient thing, eh?
