the Chinese aren't stupid.... a little statement here from a Ministry official about "new" zinc mines in China or a puzzling lack of demand there for copper, all designed to help them keep the costs down to a manageable level. they need this stuff and so does India, just trying to get it cheaper, that's all.
ps. economics 101, demand for finite resources = lack of supply and price rises. everything else is just market noise.
