Even if you not being selfish... a collapse is just smart economics for the future of the country. We are already at the point where the people needed for a capital city to function (police, nurses, teachers, retail workers ect) can never afford to own a home in the city that they work in/service.
If you think that situation is sustainable your quite literally insane. Late stage capitalism.
