It appears to me that the market is generally being driven by opportunistic trading at the moment. Even though people like to debate the underlying economic theory inherent in most of these decisions the reality is that the market is just reacting any way it can to make money. In effect that will mean rapid swings and the occasional rout as stops are hit.
We can wax lyrical about the technical impact of tapering, inflation, deflation etc but in the sort to medium term it is all irrelevant IMHO.
