If you click on one of the hotels it still takes you to a booking service such as hotels.com, expedia, bookings.com or wotif and allows comparison of the prices of an individual hotle between booking agencies. Comparison of a few of them will show that Wotif is generally the cheapest so should pick up the booking. I can only see this as being a benefit to Wotif, unless Google start their own booking agency. It still has only limited hotels (10 in Sydney) but should grow with time. A negative which may work against them is that the prices advertised don't include GST, the proper price being in small print once you click on the hotel. Don't know if this is aginst the GST legislation or not, but I would suspect so.
