I have never liked MNW, as in my opinion it will always have high expenses compared to revenue because it will have lots of small businesses as customers. In my opinion in Australia they are unlikely to get large businesses like Coles, Woolworths as customers. In the past it was suggested that MNW were in talks with 3 of the 4 big banks but I do not think that anything eventuated.

I think there is always going to be a lot of competition and many payment options because lots of businesses want a part of the pie.  Starbucks may even be developing their own payment system for their customers: Starbucks renounces Square mobile payments app


Also as far as payments businesses go, I prefer Visa & MasterCard (the largest holding in my portfolio).

As for a short term trade, I will leave that to you as you are better at that than me.
