But what do they do with all that gold once they get it? I never understood International Finance and I don't expect a lesson now but I do understand the value of oil: it's a commodity which is of some use. Gold? Apart from dingly dangley thingies around women's breasts and little (insignificant amounts) bits in telephones, where is the utilitarian value? Same as diamonds and all other jewlery.
