Luckily (most of) my stops got hit, so no real damage. But I'm with you. This is just another hiccup before the long lunch. And I'd guess that most of the selling was triggers being fired. And trigger fingers.
I had a remnant buy in at 961, in the gap left during the last leg up. What amused me was that my sell triggers were hit at 995 and 975 in the same minute as my 961 buy - and I bought back in at 840 two minutes after that. 3.15-3.17. The bottom was just waiting to open under this. Maybe down some more tomorrow on open, but I'm sure it'll settle and rise again in anticipation of the next (real) ann.
But of course I'm only guessing - and I've got to say, the certainty of your source in Bendigo has got me intrigued.
