I was listening to Congressmen panicking about the leadership issue. The interviews raised the reasons for the immediate and urgent need to elect a speaker. 1) Funding for Ukraine is being held up 2) funding for Israel can't be passed and 3) the debt ceiling to fund the government or an extended CR is also of vital importance. Maybe the "far right" of the Republican Party are doing this on purpose.
