Cobalt is the most expensive and rarest metal for batteries. Evwryone wants to reduce its use in batteries but the expansion of the battery market means we will need much more supply of cobalt in the future. Any announcements of battery breakthroughs be it for anodes (graphite) or cathodes (lithimm nickel cobalt manganese) are just announcements. It would take at leat 10 of years for any breakthroughto be mass produced
