I asked a few questions in the webinar tonight related to radioactive waste. Management did not seem to see it as a concern, which puzzled me. After further reflecting on the flow process it would appear that the radioactive waste from the ion exchange, will possibly be blended with the tailings from the production of the REMC. As the %HM is only 3.7% (i.e. there is 96.3% waste), the increase in radioactivity from the natural state will be marginal for the tailings.
Doing a little further digging this appears to be what NTU is doing for the Browns Range Project. LYC got into a problem by locating the Hydromet Plant in Malaysia and being forced to ship the radioactive waste back to Australia.
