Are you an investor or a trader? I find that from an investors perspective that these sort of stocks are terrible. On first time finding good ore you get about a 400-500% increase. To hedge these bets you would need to place even amounts of dollars in 4-5 stocks of the same type and time. If you want to invest safely in a risky stock, go and buy South African government bonds. They are about 9%. The risk is, that they have been rising continuously and might fall at any time, but you'll make more money than dividends on most stocks on the ASX.
