Apparently Merrill Lynch were rather put out by UBS securing the underwriting of AMP issue and a "cheap entitlement" - allegedly Merrill's shorted 4million AMP on Monday and a further 8million yesterday. Every short is a future buyer - let the games continue (at very cheap prices the takeover speculators are likely to go for a piece of the action).
