I just question what the hell you're paying $55K a year for if it doesn't cover the rent etc in the aged care home?
You hear about the lack of staff & poor levels of pay for employees so the only conclusion is that it's profits for the private sector provider.
You pay taxes all your life, you save up for your retirement, so you're not a burden on the taxpayer & then you get screwed when you need a bit of help in your last few years of life.
i think I'd rather give my money away & then top myself.
