the self-indulgent indigent are the very people the superannuation is aimed at.
in the 80's Hawke instituted the saving for retirement plan because aged pension and aged care would become too expensive by 2030 (as we now see the evidence that Hawke was correct). the whole point was and remains that the indigent need a savings plan so they wouldn't need the aged pension and have a resource to pay for their aged care when needed.
so superannuation has been proven to be necessary and has resulted in many now being self-funded in retirement instead of needed the pension.
but of course if Abbott and Morrison had their way there'd be no meaningful superannuation savings. do they want everyone on the aged pension?
its not the Liberal Party that is the problem. only the idiots who became the leaders.
