Celebrex is still on the market as I use it as needed for osteo-arthritus. It works well and is probably also good for relief of gout pain and swelling.

The problem with Celebrex was with Americans who were taking huge regular doses like 600mg a day every day.
My guts would never stand for that and in any case 200mg a day is adequate I have found and only use it for a couple of days at a time when needed.
