I think it is published that abt 30% of home owners have NO mortgage. How does reducing mortgage rates help these folk? Prolly the reverse: They have some income determined by interest rates.
Not published, but my gut feeling is there would be another 30% who took out their mortgage a while back and their repayments are well under control.
Why is the minority so dominant? The squeaky wheel effect I suppose.
