    No doubt there are some low-lifes among government members. Bushfires and their terrible consequences are hardly the stuff of comedy, but that didn't stop our Mnister for homelessness, (Wikepedia, look it up) Brendon O'Connor, issuing the following;

    The opposition leader Tony Abbott, said on Tuesday on Twitter: "I'm now on my way to Sydney to be on standby with my local fire brigade."
    Mr O'Connor retweeted Mr Abbott's message but added the tag "standbystunt".

    The minister deleted the message from his Twitter account and issued an apology on Wednesday.
    "Apologies for any offence. I respect and acknowledge the critical work of all our volunteer firefighters including Tony Abbott," Mr O'Connor wrote.

    This is beyond the pale, and it really does call to question the basic intelligence of the man. With Slipper, and all the bogans, and the greens openly inciting law-breaking, how can we hold our head up?

    ..and if this aap report turns out to be a hoax I will apologise to Mr O'Connor, just like he did to Tony.
