Hi Dip We cant simply continue this cycle of propping up farms on the public purse
I fully agree, but there are still two sides to the story in that agriculture is a major industry in this country and could be bigger but the governments have never done anything to further that ideal
Propping up any industry just shows you have failed and you are just kicking the can down the road
Farmers can't control imports or exports either
Farmers can't control the water supply
Farmers can only do what their own property allows them to do
It is up to the government to do major works and assist with proper advice ( IE not from pen pushing bureaucrats ) to make farming efficient and a benefit to the country
