peteai you have not answered my assertion that historically warming has always preceded rises in CO2 and after CO2 rises the warming slows down and eventually reverses. But here you are asserting the exact opposite to established facts in saying increasing CO2 causes warming. We all know that in a test tube CO2 has a small heat trapping effect but there is no evidence that has ever applied to it in the atmosphere before so why should it now? Please respond. Dave R.
