Putting aside all the, "he said she said" crap (Mostly just an opportunity to gang up on Butcherboy and Petai).This discussion basically boils down to whether you believe in a global warming or not.
I believe action needs to be taken to reduce the impact we have on our environment. Are these efforts going to be implemented perfectly and have maximum effect - Probably not. But at least we would be doin' something!
I'm not a purist by any means but I am a realist. I burn wood to heat my house, I drive a big 6, I invest in companies that actively promote fossil fuels (go NSX!) etc.
Balance should be restored as best we can.
BTW - There are some pretty good opportunities in cleantech as many HC members have already discovered (I like EVM and BLG).
