That is an excellent summary of the present Malaysian political situation and where the LAMP sits in relation to that.
All my reading leads me to agree with your conclusion. The contrary views put to this forum have not been able to convince me otherwise. In fact the arguments put up by "J" have been feeble, and that's being generous. Plucked out of "never-never" land, clearly.
The truth is:
the LAMP is safe;
it uses cutting edge technology;
it will bring income, employment, and spin-off industry to Malaysia; and
it is at the forefront of development of a rare earth industry with unlimited prospects.
What government could afford to baulk at encouraging an operation which has so much to offer its citizens?
Equally, how could any individual Malaysian, interested in the country's future, campaign against the LAMP?
