The government should not lie in its ads.
Lies suit its political agenda but damage government credibility which should be solid for safety reasons.
The ads are trying to sell Chris Bowen's proposed car tax rules which aim to push us into smaller cars.
The ads say that car companies are sending their more efficient cars to other countries. Crudely trying to engender a feeling that car companies are treating Australians worse than other countries.
Be clear, car companies try to sell cars, they send us the cars we demand. What cars are car companies offering elsewhere but not here?
Stop the lying propaganda.
