Well my take on many problem confronting Oz society is that we are over governed and over scrutinised with far too many "permits" , so many that common sense and self responsibility is no longer as important covering our tracks.
There's an obsession that has invaded our she'll be right culture ....a gotcha and blame attitude that has us in a public service like paralytic stasis. We were never a perfect culture, but that entropy was the beauty of it.
