The latest Newspoll shows support for the Federal Government has slipped during the last fortnight.

The polling shows Labor's primary vote has fallen five points from 47 per cent to 42 per cent. The Coalition vote is up one point to 38 per cent.

Prime Minister Kevin Rudd's approval rating has fallen three points but he is still the preferred prime minister for 64 per cent of those polled.

Support for Opposition Leader Malcolm Turnbull is unchanged at 19 per cent.

The results were taken over the past few days and published in The Australian newspaper.

Labor down 5% and Liberals up 1%. Strange result have people switched from Labor to Green?
