Ever noticed how so many of the franchises are run by Asians ? This is the case with both RFG and other franchises. The government through their immigration program has created a pool of desperate exploitable buyers. To gain PR (with all the benefits that goes with it) one needs to get 100 points which are based on age, education in Australia etc etc however the biggest number of points (up to 35) is gained by operating a business. There is no requirement that the business be profitable. Hence those desperate for PR will seek out a business to buy/run. Once PR is gained its a case of pass the parcel to the next hopeful.
The massive increase in immigration in recent years has been of great benefit to the likes of RFG and DMP as well as others (frozen yogurt comes to mind as well as Caltex, 7/11, massage shops, nail salons etc etc). In many cases these businesses are not viable and so we see repeated cases of wage fraud etc. So we have a housing immigration ponzi scheme plus a business ponzi scheme. The house of cards will collapse at some point in time. RFG just got too greedy and so is one of the first to suffer.
