The Govt. will protect the assets but not the shareholders. If they are going to act it is uncumbent on them to act in the interests of Australian Taxpayers/Citizens.
Best outcome for Australian Taxpayers would be Banks initiating Receivership and orderly disposal of assets to entities considered "friendly" to Australian national interests (BHP??????). There is no bidding frenzy here, if I was a BHP I would sit back and wait to be handed a gifthorse...............
