The feds are usually not keen to become shareholders, lest they have everyone from Eddie Groves to Alan Bond lining up tob e bailed out (they are kinda bailing out the childcare industry right now).
Anyway, fingers still tightly crossed.
I think the backroom comment was on the money. I expect FIRB said "we need 90 more days", Banks said "we aren't waiting". This forced Swan's hand to play the nat. security card now rather than in 3 months.
I'd say The Big Australian has been on the blower, but let's wait and see.
