Govt and Walter & Eliza Hall Institute fund Monepantel Research

Valuable insights are being researched by the Walter & Eliza Hall Institute (WEHI) for a token cost the PharmAust. Through a significant government grant and in conjunction with WEHI funding, Monepantel and Monepantel Sulfones are undergoing further testing Post “remarkable” results in vitro against Covid 19.
PharmAust own all Intellectual Property resulting from these trials and as such are gaining a massive boost in terms of knowledge regarding the MPL mechanisms of action for anti-viral purposes. Regardless of the outcomes against Covid 19, the volumes of data will inevitably support their ongoing preparations for human cancer phase 2 trials and overall knowledge of the drug and interactions with the mTOR pathway.

PharmAust is in for a massive forward few months:

(1) After delivering the Ph2 lymphoma dossier to a major veterinary pharma, they are awaiting confirmation vet major want to exercise their right to exclusive negotiation - a 6 month period to agree and implement a deal. (Elanco)

(2) Test results inbound from Covid 19 testing. Monepantel may well be a therapeutic for multiple viruses, so not just Covid19. Previously, results demonstrated up to 95% reduction of infectivity! Professor Pellegrini of WEHI infectious diseases team stated this was remarkable!

(3) Preparations get undergo Ph 1 trials against Covid19. Safety data from previous Ph1 human cancer trials is to be utilised as the requirements against covid19 is expected to see low, very safe dosages.
