govt assistance

It makes no sense in allowing an ethical, professional, long standing Tasmanian company go broke over $300 million.

Scandinavian countries often assist their timber companies, and so should the Aust Federal or Tasmanian govts.

The future monetary assistance to be paid to loggers families, plus other issues including potential suicide of investors and other family issues, plus not to mention the future economic benefits if Gunns is to survive, plus retainment of a skilled workforce, far exceeds the needed $300 million.

Its now up to the govt to make the right decision to support Gunns at this one-off moment, just like that of assisting farmers in times of drought or order situations. Gunns have done the right thing in getting out of the native forest timber industry. It is now a plantation timber company. It's Australian and it needs help.
