People who smoke will also pay $20 for a packet of ciggies, every day, without batting an eyelid.

It just leaves them with less disposable income for the more important things, such as food, clothing, fuel etc.

Addiction is a very powerful force, and the Govt will always try to profit from other peoples misery.

If people drink and smoke less, the lost taxes will have to be drawn from other sources.

From the pockets of every day non-addicted taxpayers that is.
