while at the same time ignoring the homelessness that is being caused by not supporting almost a million casual workers who have had the misfortune to find an employer who will keep them on the books for 12 months.
Add to this backpackers and people on temporary protection visas, tourist visas and more that I can't think of. All will mostly likely be homeless with no access to financial support or health care.
This will be around 1.5 million people homeless along with the already large problem of mentally ill, discharged before they are well and prisoners released because they are older or unwell and most will have no place to go.
Homeless people are among the most vulnerable due to poor nutrition and poor access to hygiene facilities. They will become a large group of carriers of infection and ensure that the virus continues to thrive in the community.
The conservative view of economics is minimal interference in business, which includes no subsidisation of business... yet the Fed Govt is now using funding that amounts to Nationalisation, as some have referred to it, of big business while neglecting a large sector of the community who are most at risk of infection and possibly early death.

You are saying casual workers out of work can not go get $500 a week from centerlink?
You are saying land lords can kick tennants out of their rentals right now?
I'm going to say you post seems very misinformed on first impressions.
