If things were really that bad for farmers they would form farmers combines to strengthen their price negotiations with supermarket and consumers would get together to have bulk buying clout. Thats what happens in a democratic free market economy not enterprise wrecking with socialistic price controls. But it looks like things aint bad enough yet to awaken farmers and consumers to take logical actions to strengthen their positions.
