Thats absolutely right. Virgin is pretty decent to travel on and the staff manage to deliver a good service. Qantas domestic is frustrating from minute go.
Until the staff retire or are pushed out, and a new group takes over I dont see the culture changing.
If people want cheap flights to asia there are a multitude of airlines offering that. Why qantas tries to compete with AirAsia is beyond me.
They would be a lot better off looking long and hard at the few remaining profitable routes, getting them right, cutting costs on the ground and improving service. I might even start flying them then. But their prices are too high and the service is crap. Consequantly I really couldnt care less.
