Well I would rather be one year behind,than 50 years behind, like those who beat the 'illegals' drum, and want to retain a migration policy that was set in the immediate aftermath of WW11.
I don't agree with inflated executive salaries but like it or not, the main effect on the profitability and sustainability of a business is the level of labor remuneration paid to the main component of their workforce. Although I would add it would not be easy to persuade the bulk of an organisation's staff to reduced salary packages if they see their executives receiving excessive remuneration. But I have always considered that flight staff at QANTAS, excluding pilots, receive salaries far above their required level of skill.
