Cops manufactured evidence, "expert witnesses" had manuctured BS, Governments were making off the cuff comments - it was a dog's breakfast of a hearing.
I can remember so well the mass hysteria. Very few people were screaming to check things properly.
Glad that one worked out in the end but those people would have gone through hell and back. I'd hate to have been Cindy! And then all the BS about compensation! Geezus! A man jumps into a shallow beach and get given a million, yet a woman gets harrassed for years in the most attrocious way and people were whinging about giving her compensation... But those days they loved their 2nd hand car salesmen!
