TLS does the best it can in a hostile environment.
For every step forward they are compelled to take 2 steps back.
In the days of Telecom they employed over 90,000 people, including carrier pigeon fanciers - havn't seen latest but their numbers are around 40,000 - many of those employed to assist the rent-seekers in ripping them off. Today's industrial action is all about keeping them in the 20th century.
Neither this government nor the previous have forgiven them for deserting the cosy world of the public sector - despite the fact that TLS had no say in the matter and were actually sold(!) to an unsuspecting public in heavily overpriced transactions. And whilst I am clearly pissed of by this nonsense, I did ok with T1, T2 and so far with T3.
The NBN is now a high risk venture (doubly so for TLS with the added regulatory risk) - wouldn't have been if TLS could have got started on it 10 years ago when they made their first attempt.
