The arguments I hear about the benefits of DRC are identical to what I was hearing about Tanzania before the government went full resources nationalist in 2014 and started confiscating property, demanding project equity, and writing out demands for billions in back taxes. They were friendly, supportive, keen to get foreign companies in with the 2010 Mining Act right up until they weren't and the shit hit the fan and it changed overnight.
