More likely a re-rate.
A couple of significant events have taken place this week.
Larger capped gold miners had gains on the back of a weakening gold price. Large caps are always the first to move as larger funds pile in early as the big sharks need larger liquid markets to swim in.
Sensational reversal candle on weekly chart, the GDX also gave a bullish island reversal signal on the daily.
