Large towns in regional Australia are heavily dependant on foreign doctors as Australian doctors prefer the cities where their kids can go to private schools as day students, rather than board.
This is well known and I have a relative through marriage who is one of these overseas trained doctors.AS soon as her time is done in the regional city she will move straight to the big smoke for her kids schooling.
How could the govt have not understood this...another waste of our money by these incompetents.
Even these overseas doctors go back to the big cities as soon as they are allowed to.
