Commissioning of Green Power for Australian

    Households

Australia’s first Green Waste to Energy power plant has

successfully passed an Independent Performance Test for the

delivery of green electricity to Energy Australia

Green Pacific Energy’s (GPE) first green waste to energy power plant, situated at

Stapylton, Queensland, has passed an independent review by the internationally

renowned engineering company, Burns & Roe Worley.

The certifying engineer at Burns & Roe Worley stated, "It is refreshing to see an

Australian company taking the initiative with renewable energy. Green Pacific Energy

is to be congratulated on the successful completion of the first stage of its power

plant at Stapylton, now operating at design capacity. It represents a promising first

step in its ambitions to design, build and operate a number of similar but larger

facilities throughout the eastern states of Australia, applying a proven

environmentally friendly technology to generate usable electricity from the increasing

levels of metropolitan construction and green waste."

The certification report is the final endorsement of GPE’s unique generation process,

and represents another significant milestone for the Company. The focus now is on

the staged roll-out of its Phase 2 projects, which involve the construction of four 20

    MW accredited green energy power plants respectively located at Stapylton, QLD;

Morwell, VIC; Bell Bay, TAS; and Kemerton, WA, as well as another 5MW plant in

Nowra, NSW. At the same time, GPE aims to commence construction of its coal

gasification plant in Dalian, China, during the latter half of 2004.

To ensure the reliability of its fuel supply, GPE had previously signed a 10 year

agreement with Collex for the supply of wood waste to its 5MW power plant

Stapylton, Queensland. GPE and Collex are now investigating other options to work

together on the upcoming projects around Australia.

Upon completion of all Phase 2 projects, GPE would be one of the leading providers

of renewable energy, delivering over 80 MW of clean, green energy to power tens of

thousands of homes across Australia. This would in turn generate an additional

revenue of $63million to the Company.

With its pipeline of projects, proven technology, and strategic alliances with key

industry players such as Energy Australia, Collex, Yokogawa Electric Corporation,

and TechComm Simulation, GPE is now well positioned to lead the renewable

    energy generation market in Australia.
