Magellan fund grew from $97 bil to $114 bil. Exchange rate 69c 2020 v75c 2021. That’s approx 9% negative equating to FUM in USD growth of more than 25%. More than Blackstones 21%
MFGs is also not limited to AUS inflows only. They have mandates through US and UK and possibly have plenty of growth still to come. One year of under performance is little quick to right them off.
Also QGQ coming off a small base is growing exceptionally but not sure they will maintain a 30% growth rate going forward. One or two year of underperformance could dint that growth pretty quickly.
I’m all in on PAC but just arguing the other side.
