    Hi @DekiHoddle

These are fantastic posts. Thanks for posting this level of detail.

The values don’t seem fair, despite a great FUM announcement from GQG. Morningstar should be seeing the good performance in their own data. All of the Australian Analysts researching Fund Managers have become very risk averse due to failures at the likes of Perpetual, Magellan, Platinum, etc. This risk aversion isn’t limited to Morningstar.

There is a ceiling for good performance to turn average, but I don’t think GQG has reached that number yet (or will get there for a while).

Even the likes of Cathie Wood, raising FUM hasn’t matched the GQG business. GQG just keeps working away, slowly generating FUM growth off the back of continuous good performance.

What is the formula for success? Tim Carver and Rajiv Jain form a dynamic duo that has powered this business, Tim with distribution knowledge across the globe and Rajiv with the structured investment process that is on steroids that performs significantly well in most markets. Shouldn’t forget the other portfolio managers, Brian Kersmac seems to be exceedingly good at what he does.

I expect this business to continue powering on for the next few years until it hits its natural peak. In the meantime, enjoy the ride
