My expectation of a Dow/bhp bounce overnight didn't materialise --with a vengeance.
Europe expected it, copper prices shot up 4.5% in anticipation... the scene was set...and then the market suprised us.
I still think we are very very close -- but of course I could be way wrong.
To fall much further the 9-day moving average would have to cross below the 50-day, and that hasn't happened since September, and it rose back up in early december.
Slow 14/7 stochastic still shows a day or so to go before bottoming, while the faster are primed for a bounce.
BHP USA fell sharply, 6% to $36.85 = $28.78 Australian.
It looks like wanting to make a full retrace to January 23 level.
