true conservatives - who had different philosophies, but, were of good heart and reasonable minds - are long since gone - walked off into the distance - because times have changed - conservatism was found wanting post about ? hmmm maybe 1970 ish - certainly the 80's then 90's definitely -

the real conservatism only worked in a slow changing society - and, with people of good hearts - it worked ok

now - it's just not possible - so, the old conservative nest has been taken over by the peanut and power nut variety - hence we see the Republican Party in the USA and the Liberal Party in Oz ------ disease filled entities inhabiting a long old dead body - pretending it's still alive and existing ------------ it's not - it's just a skin on the ground they picked up and are trying to convince people that they are something they are not

it's why they are in a principle free zone and reeking of stench -------
