partly becoz of yellowcake's posts... over the past 12 months i became aware of the rapidly diminishing worldwide stockpiles of wheat. A few weeks ago i opened a long position on July wheat in Chicago. My position was rolled-over into a Septemeber contract and has gone gangbusters virtually from time i opened original trade. Unfortunately i lost my nerve yesterday and closed-out. I took a handsome profit but with wheat surging an incredible 4.7% last night i wish i had kept going. Anyone out there long/short in wheat or other soft commodities? PS. How is wheat/barley crop in WA looking? From QLD it seems u r short of rain.
