Northern hemisphere is renowned for spreading "news" of crop failure leading into thier harvest. Amazingly, once stocks are secured and the crop sold, those concerns quickly turn around and the "news" is all about surplus grain. This game is played nearly every year. Cynical view I suppose, but proved right more times than wrong.
