That is a logical conclusion in terms of explaining why certain projects get to move forward while PEP11 stagnates. But, will it actually transpire that way? From what I read on criticisms of Sharma, Falinksi, Zimmerman and even Wicks, the narrative isn't about PEP11 in particular, it's "climate change" overall and "fossil fuels inc gas" overall. The drivers of the Independent movement targeting Wentworth, Nth Sydney, and Mackellar never mention PEP11 specifically. Robertson isn't on their radar at this point. The independent movement seems better organised and better funded this time around compared to last election and they have Zali as their poster girl. It's going to be very interesting to see if the LNP have read the room correctly.
